Slowly encroaching closer towards the open, I captured this grey squirrel frozen on a log scanning the space ahead of him. Though grey squirrels are not the most rare of animal they are detailed and fast moving making this photo a difficult composition. The dark background and detailed log add depth and colour to an otherwise grey and dull setting. However, not too much as to take away the subjects lighter tones and detailed fur.
